EXO's Xiumin's Solo Comeback Facing Hurdles on Major Music Programs
Reports have surfaced that Xiumin, the talented EXO member turned solo artist, might not grace the stages of the three major broadcasting station music programs for his much-anticipated comeback.
Insiders revealed that Xiumin's agency, ONE HUNDRED, is yet to receive a confirmation from KBS2's 'Music Bank' regarding his inclusion in this week's lineup. Normally, negotiations for music program appearances need to be finalized 2 to 3 days prior to the filming. This delay suggests that Xiumin is unlikely to be part of this week's 'Music Bank' episode airing on March 14.
In addition, sources disclosed that Xiumin's team has put in a request for a pre-recording slot on MBC's 'Show! Music Core' on Saturday, March 15. However, with the schedule disrupted due to a baseball match, the chances of securing a slot for Xiumin seem slim. This is further compounded by a conflicting commitment—a comeback fan meeting scheduled at Yonsei University later that day.
Notably, ONE HUNDRED and associated artists from Big Planet Made have been absent from SBS's 'Inkigayo' since November last year, allegedly as a form of protest following a dispute over a teaser omission for Baekhyun's prior comeback.
Meanwhile, Xiumin's name is notably absent from the lineup for this week's 'M! Countdown' on March 13, leaving fans uncertain about his future appearances on the Mnet program.
Despite these challenges, Xiumin's latest solo endeavor, the 2nd mini album 'Interview X,' featuring the title track "WHEE!," was released on March 10 to much excitement amongst fans.
EXO enthusiasts and music lovers are eagerly anticipating Xiumin's return to the spotlight and hopeful for a successful promotional journey ahead.
