NCT's Mark to Embark on Solo Journey After 9 Years Since Debut
Mark of NCT is gearing up for his solo debut after nine years in the industry. As per a recent report by Star News on March 10, Mark will be taking the plunge as a solo artist with the unveiling of his first-ever full-length album on April 7.
Originally slated for a February release, the album's launch was rescheduled to April to ensure a top-notch quality, a decision jointly made by Mark and his agency, SM Entertainment.
The anticipation for Mark's solo venture escalated last year when he teased fans with his digital single '200' in May, paving the way for his much-awaited solo debut. He later showcased his unmatched rap skills in December through 'Fraktsiya,' his second digital single featuring rapper Lee Young Ji.
Having made his debut back in April 2016 with NCT U's 'The 7th Sense,' Mark has been a dynamic force within NCT, also venturing into NCT 127 in July of the same year, NCT DREAM in August, and SuperM in October 2019.
In other news, NCT 127 clinched the prestigious "Stage of the Year" Grand Prize and the "Best Artist" award in the singer category at the 9th Asia Artist Awards (AAA 2024), a remarkable feat achieved at the IMPACT Challenger Hall 1-2 in Bangkok, Thailand, last December.
Fans worldwide are eagerly anticipating Mark's solo debut, marking a significant milestone in his illustrious career.
