Pi Network users, widely known as Pioneers, are increasingly expressing frustration over the challenges they face in transferring their hard-earned Pi Coins (PI) to the blockchain’s mainnet.
As the Grace Period deadline looms closer, anxiety is mounting among users who have only four days left to successfully complete the migration process.
Pi Network's Imminent Deadline and Migration Requirements
A critical deadline has been set by the Pi Network for Pioneers to complete two essential tasks: Know Your Customer (KYC) verification and Mainnet migration. Pioneers are required to finalize these processes by 8:00 AM UTC on March 14, 2025, as per the official announcement.
Failure to meet this deadline may lead to the loss of a significant portion of their Pi holdings, with an exemption granted for coins mined within the past six months. Despite multiple extensions granted for the Grace Period to allow users ample time for verification, some Pioneers are encountering obstacles in the process.
The Pi team highlighted that these extensions aim to accommodate as many legitimate users as possible, ensuring the verification and migration of their balances.
The closure of the Grace Period is necessary for the network to progress into its new phase without a large accumulation of unverified and unclaimed mobile balances, as stated in a blog post.
Challenges Faced by Pioneers during Mainnet Migration
Despite the urgency of the situation, numerous Pioneers have reported difficulties preventing them from transferring their PI to the Mainnet, including Jaro Giesbrecht, who expressed frustration over unresolved issues even after completing the Mainnet checklist.
Many Pioneers have voiced similar concerns and complaints regarding the migration process and the unresponsive support system, sparking frustrations and doubts about the project's credibility.
Issues with Mainnet migration continue to persist, with users questioning the unresolved Step 9 on the checklist, leaving their Pi balances in a state of uncertainty.
Price Fluctuations and Community Demands
While concerns grow over the approaching deadline, some Pioneers are looking forward to March 14, celebrated as Pi Day, with optimism for a potential price surge amid recent market struggles for Pi Coin.
The community's hopes are also pinned on Binance potentially listing Pi Coin, although uncertainties surround this decision despite a strong community vote in favor of listing the coin.
Frustrations mount as Binance remains silent, prompting Pioneers to take action by flooding the exchange with negative reviews, expressing dissatisfaction over the lack of progress.
