Park Shin Hye is gearing up to portray an elite Securities and Futures Commission supervisor in her upcoming drama project.
Following the resounding success of her role in the SBS drama Judge from Hell, which garnered her the prestigious Director’s Award at the SBS Drama Awards, Park Shin Hye has decided to take on the lead role in Miss Undercover Boss for her next venture. Although the official contract has yet to be signed, industry sources suggest that she has tentatively agreed to star in the series.
Set in the late 1990s amidst the IMF crisis, Miss Undercover Boss is a throwback office comedy that centers on Sammo Hung, a dedicated 35-year-old supervisor at the Securities and Futures Commission. Utilizing her youthful appearance, she masquerades as a 20-year-old high school graduate working in a securities firm suspected of engaging in fraudulent activities. The drama will be helmed by director Park Seon Ho (known for Office Matchmaking and Drunk Romance) and scripted by Moon Hyun Kyung (from The Ballot), with production oversight by Celltrion.
Park Shin Hye is poised to inject humor and thrills into the narrative as she tackles the transition from a stern financial overseer to a green office assistant handling mundane duties. Despite her altered identity, her core as an experienced supervisor remains, as she embarks on a mission to thwart financial wrongdoers in a grand fashion. Miss Undercover Boss is slated to premiere on tvN in the first half of 2026.
Established as a top-tier actress admired for her dynamic performances and successful career trajectory, Park Shin Hye received immense acclaim for her fearless portrayal in Judge from Hell last year. With Miss Undercover Boss calling for her to embody both the savvy demeanor of a seasoned professional and the innocence of a rookie, the anticipation is palpable to witness if she can once again deliver a career-defining performance.
