TREASURE members Junkyu and Asahi recently opened up about becoming the new leaders within the group during their appearance on KBS Cool FM’s Park Myung Soo’s Radio Show on March 9.

When asked about the shift in leadership, both Junkyu and Asahi dismissed any notion of trouble caused by their predecessors Choi Hyun Suk and Jihoon, sharing a light-hearted moment with laughter. Choi Hyun Suk elaborated, “We collectively decided that changing leaders every two years would be advantageous for us.” In a playful exchange, Park Myung Soo teased about the group continuing for a decade, prompting more laughter from the members.

Expressing his thoughts on the new leadership role, Asahi mentioned, “Junkyu and I are committed to upholding the standards set by our former leaders.” When questioned about any perks that came with the position, Asahi made it clear that there were no additional material benefits involved. Acknowledging the pressure that comes with leadership, Asahi admitted, “It's challenging, but sharing the load with Junkyu definitely helps. Our main focus is on performing to the best of our abilities.”
