American streamer Johnny Somali, also known as Ramsey Khalid Ismail, made headlines in South Korea as he faced court for his controversial actions. Somali arrived at the court nearly an hour late, sporting a black shirt, ivory-colored suit, and purple tie. He caused a stir when he tried to enter the courtroom wearing a red MAGA hat but was asked to remove it due to court regulations.

Speaking to reporters, Somali defended his choice of headwear, stating, "Because I am an American citizen. And Korea is a colony of the United States." Inside the courtroom, he appeared nonchalant, even playfully sticking out his tongue at someone in the gallery.

During the trial presided over by Judge Park Ji Won, Somali confessed to the charges of obstruction of business and violations of the Minor Offenses Act. His lawyer mentioned that a new case would be addressed alongside the existing charges at the next hearing scheduled for April 9.

Among the incidents he was accused of, Somali allegedly disrupted a convenience store in Mapo-gu, Seoul, by playing loud music, dancing, and verbally abusing staff. He was also reported to have caused disturbances in public areas, including carrying smelly fish on the streets and creating chaos on buses and subways with loud music and provocative dancing.

Adding fuel to the fire, Somali streamed himself kissing the Statue of Peace, a symbol representing victims of Japanese military sexual slavery. The controversial streamer's actions have continued to draw attention and spark debates.
