ADOR, the agency representing the girl group formerly known as NewJeans and now as NJZ, has filed a request with the court to halt their music activities amidst an ongoing contract dispute. This latest development follows ADOR's initial request for an injunction to safeguard their agency role and prevent the group from entering into new advertising contracts.

NJZ took to social media on March 6th to announce that ADOR had expanded their injunction request on February 11th, seeking not only to restrict advertising deals but also to put a stop to all music-related endeavors, including song creation, performances, and other related activities.

Addressing ADOR's actions, NJZ asserted, "While ADOR claims to be concerned about advertising issues and fan confusion, their real agenda is to block all our entertainment activities." They further criticized the move, stating, "This is an attack on our artistic freedom. Music is at the core of NJZ, and any limitations imposed negate our very essence."

In defense of their stance, ADOR clarified that due to NJZ's recent surge in activities, including new music releases and overseas concert plans, extending the injunction was deemed necessary. They clarified, "Our goal is not to hinder their activities but to ensure compliance with the existing contract." ADOR stressed, "Our actions are not retaliatory, and there has been no undue influence on concert organizers."

The initial hearing for this injunction case is slated for the morning of March 7th at the Seoul Central District Court.

Looking ahead to the legal proceedings, ADOR declared, "During tomorrow's hearing, we will aim to dispel any misunderstandings and firmly establish ADOR as NJZ's rightful agency, a decision eagerly awaited by many involved parties."
