SEVENTEEN’s Wonwoo is set to embark on his military service as the second member from the group to enlist.
Pledis Entertainment, the agency representing SEVENTEEN, revealed the news through a post on the fan community platform Weverse. Wonwoo will commence his mandatory military duties on April 3rd KST.
As a result of his enlistment, Wonwoo will be taking a break from all upcoming engagements, including the 'Tecate Pal Norte 2025' festival and the group’s planned fan meeting in Japan. However, fans can still catch him at the 'Carat Land' concerts scheduled for March 20th and 21st, where he will be virtually present through pre-recorded content.
The agency emphasized that there will be no official events on the day of Wonwoo's enlistment and urged fans not to visit the service site. Instead, they encouraged supporters to share their messages for Wonwoo on Weverse, expressing gratitude for the unwavering love and support that will enable him to fulfill his military duties dutifully and return in good health.
Wonwoo follows in the footsteps of fellow SEVENTEEN member Jeonghan, who started his military service on September 26th last year and is currently serving as a public service worker.
