Spearheaded by Professor Seo and supported by Song Hye Kyo, this 4-minute and 30-second video features narration in both Korean and English, with the aim of reaching a global audience.

The video delves into Park Cha-jung’s remarkable achievements as a special envoy of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea, her pivotal role in the Geunuhoe (Korean Women’s National Association), the establishment of the Nanjing Korean Women’s Association, and her teaching role at the Korean Revolutionary Military and Political Cadre School. It also highlights her prestigious posthumous recognition with the Order of Merit for National Foundation, Independence Medal, making her the second female independence activist after Yu Gwan-sun to receive this honor.

Professor Seo expressed, “Our initiative to spotlight lesser-known female independence activists has led to the creation of this fourth video, following those on Jeong Jeong-hwa, Yoon Hee-soon, and Kim Maria. We are dedicated to producing a series of multilingual videos to amplify their stories on a global scale.”

The video is currently gaining momentum on YouTube and various social media channels, resonating with Korean communities worldwide.

Over the last 14 years, Song Hye Kyo and Professor Seo Kyoung Duk have been actively contributing Korean-language guidebooks, Hangul signs, and independence activist relief artworks to 37 historical sites associated with Korea’s independence movement across the globe, showcasing their unwavering commitment to preserving and promoting Korean history.
