The debut of the Wavve-Watcha drama 'The History of Losers' was a major hit, soaring to the top of real-time rankings and signaling a promising start.

Released on February 26, the series quickly captured audience attention, securing top placements on Wavve and Watcha's real-time viewership charts. Kinolights, the OTT content search platform, reported the drama ranking at 6th on Wavve and 2nd on Watcha, solidifying its popularity.

'The History of Losers' unfolds a charming coming-of-age romance-comedy narrative, shadowing the lives of four 20-year-old college mates as they grapple with love, heartache, and self-discovery. The drama drew high anticipation, particularly with original webtoon creator Kim Poong actively contributing to the script, enriching the storyline's depth.

Episodes 1 and 2 acquaint viewers with Seo Min Gi (portrayed by Jo Byeong Kyu), a fresh college entrant in the year 2000, and his companions from the literature department: No Jun Seok (acted by Ryeoun), Kwon Ki Hyuk (brought to life by Jung Jae Kwang), and Lee Kwang Jae (performed by Jung Yong Joo). The episodes unveil their endearing yet amusing youthful escapades. Min Gi's infatuation with the charming and carefree Kwon Seol Ha (played by Bang Min Ah) offers a delightful interplay of characters, as his bashful demeanor contrasts with Seol Ha's bold spirit.

As Min Gi shares his interactions with Seol Ha, his friends playfully prod him, teasing, “Are you and Seol Ha an item already?” Though initially in denial, Min Gi finds himself flustered when senior male students at a freshmen gathering show interest in Seol Ha. Moments like Seol Ha sharing her straw with Min Gi and casually draping her arm around his shoulder trigger a flutter of excitement in Min Gi, hinting at budding romance.

At the conclusion of Episode 2, Min Gi bravely confesses his feelings through a text message after a delightful day with Seol Ha. The tension builds as he anxiously awaits her response for eight agonizing hours. The episode wraps up with Min Gi's stunned reaction upon receiving her reply, leaving viewers eagerly awaiting the next installments.

Despite facing delays from bullying controversies involving lead actors Jo Byeong Kyu and Song Ha Yoon, 'The History of Losers,' originally filmed in 2022, has triumphantly made its way to viewers after three years.

Fans can catch new episodes of 'The History of Losers' every Wednesday at 11 AM KST on Wavve and Watcha, with a double episode release each week.
