Atlanta police have linked the tragic deaths of two teenagers to a gang conflict ignited at a Lil Baby music video shoot. Reports claiming Lil Baby's arrest in connection to the murders quickly circulated online after authorities revealed the killings were tied to a gang war that erupted following a shooting during the rapper's shoot.

13-year-olds Jakody Davis and Lamon Freeman lost their lives on July 2, 2024, in Atlanta, as part of the escalating gang feud that originated with the music video shoot incident in May 2024 attended by rival gang OMF members. While three men were injured during the shoot, Lil Baby emerged unscathed.

The police disclosed during a press briefing that the initial shooting led to a series of retaliatory attacks between gangs 4PF and OMF, culminating in the tragic deaths of the two teens.

Following widespread speculation on social media regarding Lil Baby's alleged arrest, the artist addressed the rumors on Thursday, reassuring his followers that he was not in custody. Major Ralph Woolfolk criticized Lil Baby's involvement in the conflict, labeling his actions as "cowardly" for venturing into enemy territory knowingly.

Seven individuals have since been arrested and charged with murder in connection to the teenagers' deaths, with an arrest warrant allegedly linking Lil Baby as the leader of the 4PF gang. Police have accused a rival gang member of ordering the teens' hit via a prison phone call.

Law enforcement officials are actively pursuing Lil Baby and his associates for their purported role in fueling the gang violence, emphasizing their commitment to holding them accountable.
