The Japanese woman who surprised everyone by kissing BTS member Jin on the cheek without warning at the '2024 FESTA' event has been charged with sexual harassment.

As per reports from various media outlets on February 27 KST, the Seoul Songpa Police Office has taken action against 'A', a woman in her fifties from Japan, for committing the act of sexual harassment in a public setting. 'A' has been called in for questioning by the authorities, although she is currently residing in Japan and has not yet responded formally.

The incident took place during a "hug event" hosted by Jin last June at the '2024 FESTA', where approximately 1,000 fans were in attendance. Criticism arose when one fan unexpectedly kissed Jin on the cheek, leading to the subsequent legal action against 'A'. The Seoul Songpa Police sought the assistance of Japan's INTERPOL to identify and address the situation.
