20-something individual indicted for selling counterfeit discount tickets to Psy's 'Summer Swag' concert series.
A young person known as A has been arrested and charged with fraud for duping concert enthusiasts by falsely offering reduced-price tickets to Psy's popular 'Summer Swag' (흠뻑쇼) concerts. The Suwon District Prosecutors’ Office, Seongnam Branch revealed on February 25 that A is facing formal charges of fraud.
According to reports, A allegedly deceived about 370 victims out of around 5.8 million KRW (approximately $4,000 USD) by claiming to provide discounted employee tickets for Psy's concert. However, investigations disclosed that A had neither acquired any tickets nor attended the concert venues, marking the whole operation as a deceptive ploy.
In a shocking turn of events, A purportedly resorted to intimidation tactics by threatening victims with counter-lawsuits or coercing them into signing settlements to receive refunds.
As the popularity of 'Summer Swag' concert tickets soared last year, Psy cautioned the public against ticket scalping and fraudulent sellers, urging attendees to steer clear of illegally resold tickets. The iconic artist appealed for purchasing tickets at their designated prices and called for tighter restrictions on unauthorized ticket sales.
The 'Summer Swag' concert series by Psy has become a go-to event, attracting a diverse fan base of all ages. Renowned for its stunning water cannon displays, electrifying performances, and singalong-friendly setlists, the show promises an unforgettable experience.
Embracing a lively ambiance and Psy's trademark flair, the annual 'Summer Swag' concerts receive rave reviews from delighted attendees.
