Police are currently investigating workplace bullying allegations in the tragic case of the late MBC weathercaster, Oh Yoanna. Amidst the scrutiny, Kim Ga Young, one of the individuals accused by the bereaved family, has made the decision to step down from her program.

In a recent report on February 21, an entertainment media outlet revealed that "Weathercaster Kim Ga Young has expressed her intention to leave SBS's entertainment program 'Shooting Stars.'" According to the report, Kim Ga Young stated to SBS that she could no longer be a part of 'Shooting Stars' and her team, Wonder Woman, in order to prevent further harm.

Oh Yoanna, who joined MBC in 2021 and tragically passed away in September last year, left behind a suicide note that hinted at the ordeal of workplace bullying she might have endured.

The family of the late weathercaster publicly named individuals they believed were responsible, pointing fingers at "Lee Hyun Seung and Kim Ga Young" as the main culprits. Netizens reacted strongly to these accusations, flooding Kim Ga Young's social media accounts with criticisms.

In light of the backlash, Kim Ga Young was removed from her honorary ambassador position in Paju on February 6 and also voluntarily withdrew from several online entertainment shows.

Meanwhile, on January 23, Oh Yoanna’s family filed a lawsuit against her former colleagues at the Seoul Central District Court, seeking damages for workplace bullying. As investigations continue, the public eagerly awaits further developments in this high-profile case.
