YG Entertainment is embarking on an innovative new chapter led by Executive Producer Yang Hyun Suk. The company is intensifying its efforts for BLACKPINK, TREASURE, and TREASURE, in addition to gearing up for the debut of a fresh girl group, enhancing its roster of artists.
On May 26, YG shared a video announcement titled "BLACKPINK, BABYMONSTER, TREASURE, AND UPCOMING ROOKIES | YG ANNOUNCEMENT" on their blog. The video features Yang Hyun Suk's initial interview of 2025, outlining YG’s strategic outlook for the upcoming months.
During the interview, Yang announced that BLACKPINK is gearing up for a potential release, exciting fans globally as it would be the group's first since their full-length album 'BORN PINK' in September 2022.
BABYMONSTER is also gearing up for an active season, with the release of their pre-release single 'HOT SAUCE' on July 1, followed by a second single in September and a mini album on October 1. Yang shared that 'HOT SAUCE' is a hip-hop track inspired by the late 1980s, designed to bring summer vibes and energy.
TREASURE is set to release a new mini album on September 1, with YG committing to supporting the group with regular album releases and fan interactions. The group will kick off a world tour in October following the album launch.
In a surprising twist, Yang disclosed plans for YG’s upcoming rookie groups, with two boy groups and two girl groups currently being prepared for debut. Yang expressed enthusiasm for the new girl group, which will consist of four members.
Practice footage of the new girl group members will be unveiled starting May 28, allowing fans to witness their training and performances through unedited videos. The official debut of the girl group is expected to happen later in the year following a focus on BABYMONSTER’s progress.
