Starship Entertainment, known for managing groups like MONSTA X, CRAVITY, IVE, and KiiiKiii, is introducing a fresh boy band.
The agency unveiled that during the EP.9 Final Debut Live livestream on the 'New Kids on the Starship' YouTube channel, they revealed the final lineup of 8 members for their new boy group IDID after the Final Debut Evaluation, marking a significant milestone on May 5.
The chosen members for debut include Kim Min Jae, Jang Yong Hoon, Baek Jun Hyuk, Park Won Bin, Chu Yoo Chan, Jung Se Min, Park Jun Hwan, and Park Sung Hyun.
The final selection process involved a combination of fan votes in the last week and assessment by the Starship board, with versatile talent Kim Min Jae securing the top spot, followed closely by Jang Yong Hoon in second place.
Additionally, Park Sung Hyun secured his place as the eighth and final member of IDID after receiving the "Debut Super Pass" during the Semi-Final Debut phase, further solidifying the group's lineup.
The newly announced members expressed their gratitude to fans, transitioning from trainees to official debut artists with emotional farewells to their fellow contestants after the livestream concluded.
Making the debut more memorable, the Starship Family including MONSTA X’s Jooheon, Shownu, and Kihyun; CRAVITY’s Serim, Allen, and Seongmin; WJSN’s Yeoreum, Dayoung, and Yeonjung; IVE’s Gaeul, Liz, and Rei; and KiiiKiii’s Sui, Jiyu, and Kya were fully present during the event.
The name IDID embodies the determination and ambition of the group, signifying the message of accomplishment through perseverance and hard work. IDID is slated to make their debut in the latter half of this year.
