Rosé from BLACKPINK and NewJeans were honored at the inaugural 'Music Awards Japan 2025'. The event, supported by Japan's major music industry entities and the Japanese government, involves more than 5,000 music professionals voting to decide the winners across 62 music categories.

Rosé won the 'Best International Pop Song in Japan' for her song "APT." featuring Bruno Mars, while NewJeans received an award for the 'Best K-Pop Song In Japan' category with "Ditto".

The main award ceremony, which will reveal winners in the 6 key categories such as 'Song of the Year', 'Artist of the Year', 'New Artist of the Year', 'Album of the Year', 'Top Global Hit from Japan', and 'Best Song Asia', is scheduled for a live broadcast on May 22 at 7:30 PM JST on NHK and YouTube.

In addition to her victory for the 'Best International Pop Song in Japan', Rosé is also a nominee for 'Song of the Year' with "APT.". Other K-Pop groups like aespa with "Supernova" and PLAVE with "Way 4 Luv" are also contenders for the 'Best Song Asia' award.
