Nelly and Ashanti are set to showcase their journey into marriage and parenthood in a new reality series called “We Belong Together,” which will air on Peacock starting in June 2025.

The show will delve into their experiences during their first year of marriage and as they adapt to life as new parents to their newborn son, Kareem Kenkaide Haynes, who was born in July 2024.

As executive producers of the series, Nelly and Ashanti aim to provide audiences with a glimpse into their daily lives and a much-anticipated reunion.

The eight 30-minute episodes featured in the docuseries will document the couple's relationship that has evolved over two decades, starting from their meeting at a Grammy Awards press event in 2003. After an on-again, off-again romance that lasted until 2013 and a subsequent decade-long break, they rekindled their love in 2021 during a Verzuz battle between Fat Joe and Ja Rule.

Following a viral hug during the event, they went their separate ways for nine months before finding their way back to each other. They officially tied the knot in December 2023 in a private ceremony in St. Louis County, Missouri, with Nelly later revealing on a podcast that their decision to marry quickly was prompted by Ashanti's pregnancy.

Announcing her pregnancy and engagement in April 2024, Ashanti described the proposal as "beautiful and intimate." Their son, Kareem, was born three months after the announcement. “We Belong Together” is scheduled to premiere on Peacock in June 2025.
