The Seoul Songpa Police Station verified on May 8 KST that a Japanese woman in her fifties, 'A', has been sent to the prosecutors' office for inappropriate harassment towards BTS member Jin.

In June last year, Jin organized a "hug event" for 1,000 fortunate fans as part of '2024 FESTA' after completing his mandatory military service. During this event, two fans received backlash for kissing Jin on the cheek unexpectedly.

'A', who traveled from Japan on her own for questioning, will face investigation and charges. The other female perpetrator involved in the harassment, 'B', is yet to be identified, leading to a halt in the case against her.

Furthermore, as per recent statements by HYBE's top executives, BTS may not engage in group activities again until 2025.
