Lee Hongki, known as an actor and a member of the band FT Island, amazed viewers with his unconventional and daring living space during the telecast of SBS’s 'My Little Old Boy' on May 11th.
In this particular episode, Lee Hongki joined the show as its newest “son,” revealing his distinctive lifestyle to the audience.
Both the hosts and the “Mom Avengers” (the group of celebrity mothers on the show) were surprised when they saw the interior of Hongki’s house, especially the bathtub positioned directly against a wall in his bedroom. Seo Jang Hoon questioned, “Is it suitable to have a bathtub in a bedroom like that?” to which Hongki responded, “It has always been part of my ideal morning routine. I wanted to have the option to take a bath at least once a week.”
Hongki shared, “When I relocated, I conducted extensive research, particularly on bathtubs. The idea behind it is to blur the boundaries between the bedroom and the bathroom,” showcasing his bold design approach.
Occasionally, this setup led to minor accidents. Once, he forgot about a filling bathtub, narrowly preventing an overflow. Despite the water spillage, Hongki remained calm, saying, “I intended to clean anyway,” further surprising the mothers.
With his carefree spirit, Hongki relaxed in the bathtub while watching cartoons on TV and moving freely around the room, exhibiting his unique personality. Seo Jang Hoon commented, “He's even more extreme than Kim Hee Chul,” indicating his astonishment.
Subsequently, in the studio, Hongki’s mother made a guest appearance and humorously remarked, “He’s objectively a cool guy. But he's also quite eccentric. Even I find him a bit overwhelming.”
Now the youngest “son” at 36 on 'My Little Old Boy,' fans are excited to explore more of Lee Hongki’s idiosyncratic charm in upcoming episodes.
