Lee Do Hyun, an actor, was honored with the 'New Male Actor of the Year' award at the '23rd Directors Cut Awards' organized by the Directors Guild of Korea (DGK) on the 20th of May. The event, hosted by Kim Cho Hee and Bong Man Dae, featured 13 award categories.

Lee Do Hyun's exceptional portrayal of Bong Gil, a rookie shaman casting spells in the movie 'Exhuma', earned him the recognition. His remarkable physical transformation, donning full-body tattoos and a tied-up hairstyle, added depth to his performance and garnered attention for breaking genre stereotypes.

After completing military service seven days earlier, Lee Do Hyun experienced the thrill of victory once more, having previously won 'Best New Actor' at the '60th Baeksang Arts Awards'. 'Exhuma' triumphed with a total of four awards at the ceremony, with Kim Go Eun (Best Actress) and director Jang Jae Hyun (Best Director, Best Screenplay) also being honored.

The Directors' Cut Awards involve direct voting by members of the Directors Guild of Korea and recognize achievements in both films and series. Beyond the awards, Lee Do Hyun is preparing to embark on his 'RE: Lee Do Hyun' fan meeting tour across Asia, starting from June 14–15 at the Sungshin Women's University Woonjung Green Campus in Seoul. The tour will proceed to eight other cities, such as Jakarta, Osaka, Tokyo, Taipei, Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Manila.
