In Seoul's Seongdong District, an unprecedented apartment deal has occurred within the same complex where actor Kim Soo Hyun possesses three units. The apartment's value has surged by almost 5 billion KRW (roughly 3.6 million USD) in the past five years.

Based on the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport's real transaction price disclosure system, a 195㎡ apartment in Galleria Forêt in Seongsu-dong 1-ga, Seongdong District, was sold for 9 billion KRW (around 6.6 million USD) on May 3, setting a new price record for the complex. Notably, the last transaction for a similar-sized unit was in November 2021 for 5.5 billion KRW, and five years ago, in March 2020, it was bought for 3.7 billion KRW, indicating a rise of about 5 billion KRW over five years.

It is known that Kim Soo Hyun has obtained three properties in the Galleria Forêt complex. His acquisitions include a 217㎡ unit in October 2013 for 4.02 billion KRW, a 170㎡ unit in October 2014 for 3.02 billion KRW, and a 217㎡ penthouse in January 2023 for 8.8 billion KRW. The total estimated value of his three properties is roughly 30 billion KRW (approximately 22 million USD).

Galleria Forêt gained attention upon its launch in 2008 for its then-record price of 45.35 million KRW per 3.3㎡. The residence opened in 2011 and exclusively features spacious units ranging from 167㎡ to 271㎡.

Constructed by Hanwha Engineering & Construction, the complex consists of two towers with a total of 230 units, expanding from 7 basement levels to 45 above-ground floors. Positioned near Seoul Forest, it offers stunning views of the Han River and reaches a height of up to 172 meters.

Due to its stringent security measures and secluded environment, Galleria Forêt is a favored dwelling among celebrities. Noteworthy personalities such as G-Dragon, Insooni, Han Ye Seul, and Go Joon Hee are either residents or own units within the complex.
