The ongoing controversy involving actor Kim Soo Hyun and the late actress Kim Sae Ron has once again sparked widespread media attention, spurred by recent accusations. The Garo Sero Research Institute (HOVERLAB) alleged on May 7th that a whistleblower in possession of a recording related to the late actress Kim Sae Ron was subjected to a violent attack.

According to details shared on a YouTube channel, Kim Sae Ron allegedly confided in the whistleblower from New Jersey about a month before her passing. In her conversation, she reportedly named Kim Soo Hyun and Lee Jin Ho as the individuals who caused her significant distress. Kim Se Eui, operator of the Garo Sero Institute channel, also claimed that Kim Soo Hyun engaged in sexual activity with Kim Sae Ron when she was in middle school.

In response, Lee Jin Ho denied the allegations and accused the Garo Sero Research Institute of distorting the truth. He held a press conference where he asserted that the audio recordings released by Garo Sero were altered using AI-generated voices. Lee Jin Ho further revealed that the whistleblower was known for fraudulent activities, including voice phishing scams to extort money from victims.

As these fresh accusations surface online, Korean netizens are actively discussing whether the audio recordings sound AI-generated and expressing concerns regarding the scandal. Their comments predominantly revolve around the authenticity of the recordings, questioning the awkwardness in tone and delivery, and sharing varied perspectives on the unfolding situation. Lee Jin Ho has responded to these claims by labeling them as "Obvious fabrications" in light of the alleged AI manipulation found in the tapes.
