Actor Kim Jung Hyun recently signed an exclusive contract with the agency Management Siseon. This decision marks a fresh start in his acting career. Management Siseon, a new company, is quickly expanding its roster of talent by also signing actresses Shin Hye Sun and Cha Chung Hwa. Kim had previously worked with both Shin and Cha on the popular tvN drama 'Mr. Queen' (2020–2021), where he had a romantic storyline with Shin Hye Sun. The reunion of the actors under the same agency has captured the attention of fans and the industry, especially after four years since they last worked together.
This move follows Kim's departure from StoryJCompany in January after a four-year partnership. His time at StoryJCompany began in September 2021, following a legal disagreement with his former agency, O& Entertainment.
Kim Jung Hyun started his acting career in the 2015 film 'Overman' and has since played various lead roles. His acting repertoire includes popular dramas such as 'Iron Family' (2024–2025), 'Kokdu: Season of Deity' (2023), 'Mr. Queen,' 'Crash Landing on You' (2019–2020), 'Time' (2018), 'Welcome to Waikiki' (2018), and 'School 2017' (2017). He recently received the Top Excellence Award for Actor at the '2024 KBS Drama Awards' for his role in Iron Family.
Apart from acting, Kim is gearing up for his debut as a fixed cast member on a variety show. He is set to feature in KBS2’s upcoming program 'Farewell and Hello,' Lee Min Jung, premiering on May 16. The show will showcase Kim and actress Lee Min Jung as they travel to rural villages with a mobile convenience store, spending time with locals and sharing heartwarming and humorous stories.
