Jeon Ho Jun, a musical actor, has been accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, but he has denied the allegations and provided evidence in the form of a lengthy statement and an audio recording.
The dispute began when his ex-girlfriend, identified as 'A,' claimed on May 24 that she was a victim of dating violence. She alleged that she financed all their dates and that Jeon extorted about 10 million KRW from her by pretending they would get married. 'A' also mentioned that she gave him 1 million KRW every month to cover his Pilates expenses and that he had transmitted an STD to her, reportedly herpes. The situation escalated when she claimed she was assaulted during a visit to Jeon Ho Jun's home on May 23.
In response, Jeon Ho Jun shared a photo of himself with injuries and an audio recording on social media to counter 'A's claims. The audio featured 'A' screaming for help while Jeon tried to prevent her from entering his home and eventually said he would call the police.
Jeon Ho Jun explained that the assault allegedly occurred as a result of his attempts to stop 'A' from entering his home illegally. He mentioned sustaining injuries to his face and head during a physical confrontation. 'A', on the other hand, claimed that upon arriving at his home, she was immediately attacked, leading to a struggle.
The conflicting accounts have led to a heated debate over what truly happened, with both parties claiming self-defense. The situation has caused significant distress and prompted Jeon Ho Jun to clarify his position through a statement. He emphasized the need for a fair assessment of the situation amid the spread of misinformation and false claims.
