K-pop girl group ILLIT is gearing up for their much-anticipated return next month. Their agency, BELIFT LAB, announced on May 19 through Weverse, a global fan platform, that the group will be dropping their third mini album titled "BOMB" on June 16.

The future release, "BOMB," carries on with ILLIT's distinct storytelling, delving into their evolving world through their interactions with their audience. Following their first album, "SUPERREAL ME," which focused on self-discovery, and their second album, "I’LL LIKE YOU," which explored budding romance, "BOMB" embarks on a deeper journey centered around connections and development. Fans are excited to witness how ILLIT—known for their unique and confident appeal—will unveil new dimensions of their artistry.

ILLIT made a remarkable debut last year with their debut track, “Magnetic,” making history as the first K-pop debut song to enter both the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Singles Top 100 at an unprecedented pace. The song also claimed top spots on various global music charts.

Expanding on the success of "Magnetic", the title track of their second mini album, “Cherish (My Love),” also received significant support from fans. The group has since been honored with 13 music awards, including 7 "Rookie of the Year" accolades at prominent ceremonies in Korea, the U.S., and Japan.

Their success has carried into 2025. In February, ILLIT released “Almond Chocolate” as the theme song for a Japanese film. Garnering attention through positive word-of-mouth, the song experienced a resurgence on the charts in Japan, securing the 10th position on Oricon’s Weekly Streaming Ranking (March 31–April 6)—the highest rank achieved by a K-pop girl group song released in Japan this year.

Aside from their album comeback, ILLIT is gearing up for their inaugural fan concert, '2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN SEOUL,' scheduled for June 7–8 at Olympic Hall in Seoul’s Olympic Park. Both concert dates sold out rapidly during pre-sale, underscoring the group's soaring popularity.

Simultaneously, pre-orders for "BOMB" commenced today, May 19, at 11 AM KST.
