Can the actress Han Ga In and actor Kim Dong Jun potentially portray siblings in a drama together?
In a recent interview in Seoul on April 30, director Min Jin Ki and writer Yoon Ki Young discussed the Genie TV series 'The Recruit 3'.
'The Recruit' is a military comedy with hyper-realistic elements inspired by a popular animated series. It revolves around a young man from a wealthy background who enlists in the military. Following the popularity of Seasons 1 and 2, The Recruit 3 introduced new storylines and continued to attract viewers.
In Season 3, Han Ga In had a cameo appearance not in person but through a photo. She was revealed as the older sister of the character Jeon Se Gye, played by Kim Dong Jun. Fans are now eager to know if Han Ga In will appear in person in the upcoming Season 4.
Director Min mentioned, “There is a chance.” He went on to say, “With Han Ga In's consent to use her photo, we would like to present a scene where she visits Jeon Se Gye at the army base.”
Moreover, he expressed, “Han Ga In and Kim Dong Jun share a close bond in real life, so we are optimistic about the possibility.” The pair is often noted for their resemblance.
Additionally, Yubin from Wonder Girls had a special appearance in The Recruit 3, contributing to the show’s humor and nostalgia. Director Min explained, “I previously directed the Wonder Girls episode on SNL Korea, which is how we were acquainted. As the series is set in 2012, a time when Wonder Girls frequently performed on military bases, Yubin was a fitting choice, and I appreciate her immediate agreement.”
Furthermore, Director Min expressed his intention to continue the series for the long run. “If the audience desires it, I intend to keep the series going until South Korea’s conscription system concludes,” he humorously remarked. “However, if viewers feel it loses its charm, I will step back. Fortunately, the cast is youthful and enthusiastic, so I believe we still have a good amount of time ahead.”
Now, let's take a look at Han Ga In's amusing pregnancy anecdote: 'I ate bread on a toilet.'
