K-pop artist G-Dragon is embarking on a groundbreaking global media exhibition tour entitled 'G-DRAGON MEDIA EXHIBITION: Übermensch', marking a significant milestone in the industry. Co-produced by CreativeMUT and Galaxy Corporation, G-Dragon's agency, the tour aims to provide fans worldwide with an immersive experience with the iconic K-pop figure.
The exhibition kicked off in Shanghai, China, garnering attention with the release of the official poster for the Shanghai leg. Running from May 30 to June 22 at Qiantan Taikoo Li, the event spans both the 1st and 4th floors, making it the first K-pop media exhibition in China. The venue, located in Shanghai's bustling business district, is known for its popularity among Millennials and Gen Z, highlighting G-Dragon's significant influence in China.
Themed around the concept of “Übermensch” from G-Dragon's upcoming album, the exhibition features cutting-edge digital media art. Initially showcased at 'The Hyundai Seoul' in Yeouido, the event drew over 55,000 visitors in just 10 days and received acclaim as a forward-looking media art experience.
The Shanghai exhibition promises an enhanced experience, incorporating AI, holograms, VR, and CG technologies developed using Unreal Engine. Attendees can look forward to interactive elements such as holographic concerts and virtual meet-and-greets with G-Dragon. Additionally, the venue will showcase the daisy flower motif, a symbol synonymous with G-Dragon, including the impressive 7-meter-tall giant daisy seen in Seoul.
