Elkie Chong, a former member of the K-pop girl group CLC, is presently undergoing medical care in a hospital due to collapsing from carbon monoxide exposure.

On May 2, Chong updated her followers on her situation on Instagram, sharing photographs from her hospital bed and one taken at the site, displaying the back of a rescue personnel who helped transport her to safety.

Chong described waking up with a headache and then suddenly losing consciousness, leading to her collapse and hospitalization where she was diagnosed with carbon monoxide poisoning.

She suspects the cause was a gas leak as there were no apparent signs like smell, smoke, or sound. Chong is currently receiving hyperbaric oxygen therapy and assured her fans that she is now in a stable condition. She expressed her gratitude to friends who supported her during the incident.

Underlining the importance of understanding the risks of carbon monoxide, Chong advised others to take precautions by ensuring proper ventilation and installing carbon monoxide alarms.
