Diddy is getting a new outfit for his upcoming federal trial in May, where he is facing multiple charges without a plea deal.

Sean “Diddy” Combs will be donning civilian clothes instead of his jail jumpsuit when he appears in federal court this May. A federal judge has approved his request to wear five shirts, pants, sweaters, socks, and non-laced shoes for security reasons during the trial. These clothes will be sent to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn where he is currently held.

The decision to allow Diddy to wear civilian clothes came after concerns that his jail attire might sway the jury's opinion. The trial is set to start on May 5, with jury selection and opening statements following shortly after.

Diddy is facing serious charges, including sex trafficking and prostitution-related offenses. Despite the plea deal offered by prosecutors, he has pleaded not guilty and is moving forward with the trial. The defense team, comprising four law firms, was denied a request to postpone the trial, and it is set to proceed as scheduled.

During the trial, it is expected that three alleged victims will testify anonymously, while Cassie Ventura, Diddy's ex-girlfriend, will testify using her real name. The prosecution alleges that Diddy organized drug-induced sex parties known as “Freak-Offs” and used coercion to control participants. However, the defense is planning to argue that these events were consensual and not criminal in nature.
