Chainlink has introduced Chainlink Rewards, a new program in collaboration with Space and Time (SXT) to reward community engagement within its ecosystem. Under this initiative, Chainlink Build projects can offer native tokens to eligible Chainlink participants, including LINK stakers.

The first project participating in this program is Space and Time, allocating 4% of its SXT token supply, totaling 200 million tokens, for distribution. The initial distribution of 100 million SXT tokens will be claimable starting on May 8, 2025, with both current and past LINK stakers being eligible to claim these tokens.

The claim period for this initial distribution, named Season Genesis, will be open for 90 days, with the possibility of additional token distributions in future reward seasons.

Chainlink Rewards aims to enhance the Build program by connecting community members with projects seeking adoption. The program supports users and node operators actively contributing to the Chainlink Network's security and functionality.

Space and Time, having joined the Build program in 2022, has expanded its decentralized database solution utilizing zero-knowledge proofs to provide data analytics to smart contracts. The project incorporated Chainlink Functions in 2024 to facilitate the delivery of ZK-proven queries on-chain.

Chainlink has indicated that upcoming reward events may include other Build projects offering token rewards to ecosystem participants. The Season Genesis claim period begins on May 8, 2025, enabling eligible LINK stakers to access their rewards through official Chainlink platforms.

Besides, several new crypto airdrop programs have been unveiled for May 2025, such as Floki announcing the RICE token airdrop for FLOKI holders and ZORA launching an airdrop on Base Network in the wake of the content coin craze.
