Reported by IZE on February 20, Lee Byung Hun will grace the recording of Pinggyego on the morning of February 21, marking another collaboration between the two beloved stars on a variety show.

In a reminiscent fashion, back in August 2023, before the release of his film 'Concrete Utopia,' Lee garnered immense praise when he appeared as a guest on tvN’s 'You Quiz on the Block.' His return to the screen alongside Yoo Jae Suk, this time prior to his upcoming film 'The Match,' has sparked excitement among fans eager to hear the tales he has in store this time around.

Set to hit the screens on March 26, 'The Match' narrates the compelling journey of Cho Hun Hyun, a renowned South Korean Go (baduk) player, as he confronts a defining challenge from his former student. Driven by his unwavering competitive nature, Cho Hun Hyun aims to reclaim his position at the pinnacle of his game. The film is poised to vividly depict the intense face-offs between master Cho Hun Hyun and his pupil, Lee Chang Ho, conversations that have echoed through the annals of Go history.

In 'The Match,' Lee Byung Hun embodies the character of Cho Hun Hyun, while Yoo Ah In steps into the shoes of the young apprentice Lee Chan Ho, who ultimately transforms into his rival. Despite facing setbacks in its release schedule tied to Yoo Ah In’s drug controversy, Lee Byung Hun has taken on the mantle of promoting the film. Notable observations reveal the absence of Yoo Ah In in recent promotional material such as posters and trailers for the movie.

Renowned for his captivating storytelling and endearing presence in variety shows, Lee Byung Hun has consistently left a lasting impact on viewers. As he shoulders the responsibility of promoting 'The Match,' the anticipation is palpable for his upcoming stint on Pinggyego, where he is anticipated to once more captivate the audience with his charisma and humor.
