Gyuvin from ZEROBASEONE and Dohoon from TWS have been chosen as the fresh faces to take over the MC duties on MBC’s popular show ‘Show! Music Core’. They are set to replace the current trio of Younghoon from The Boyz, Sullyoon from NMIXX, and actor Lee Jung Ha, who are stepping down on February 15.
Per an exclusive report by Ilgan Sports on February 10, Gyuvin and Dohoon will be the 24th generation MCs for the show. They will be joined by a female MC from SM Entertainment’s upcoming girl group Hearts2Hearts, which is gearing up for the release of their debut single ‘The Chase’ on February 24. The new MC lineup is anticipated to start their hosting duties in March.
Gyuvin has already proven his hosting skills during his stint as a special MC on ‘Show! Music Core’ last August. In a recent live stream, he shared his excitement for the program by showing off a background photo of himself alongside former MCs Younghoon and Lee Jung Ha. With other ZEROBASEONE members already excelling as MCs on different music shows, fans are eagerly awaiting Gyuvin's debut on ‘Show! Music Core’.
On the other hand, Dohoon, who debuted with TWS in January last year, has made waves by becoming the first rookie to host MBC's ‘2024 Gayo Daejejeon WANNABE’. His previous appearances as a special MC on ‘Show! Music Core’ have garnered praise for his charismatic and confident hosting style.
The inclusion of a female MC from Hearts2Hearts before the group's official debut is a unique move in the industry. Fans are buzzing with anticipation to see the dynamic chemistry among these three emerging stars from the 5th-generation idol groups as they take on the spotlight as the new faces of ‘Show! Music Core’.
