Jaejoong shared his challenges in forming a boy group and discussed the reasons why it is tough to select male members. During an appearance on Lim Seul Ong's YouTube channel 'OngStyle' on May 26, Jaejoong gave a tour of his newly established company building, iNKODE, where the new girl group SAY MY NAME was introduced.
When asked about creating a boy group, Jaejoong mentioned the difficulties in finding suitable members. Despite half-jokingly asking if there was someone similar to him during a meeting, he was quickly reminded of his uniqueness. He explained that recruiting individuals with distinct and unconventional traits like his own is challenging. Many talented and attractive individuals prefer pursuing careers as YouTubers or influencers rather than joining the idol industry, making recruitment even more complex.
Jaejoong highlighted the current generation's preferences, referring to them as the Alpha Generation, who have been exposed to technology from a young age. He emphasized the importance of appealing to their interests and showcasing content that resonates with their upbringing to attract potential members for the boy group he plans to launch soon.
