The Bitcoin treasury giant Strategy (Nasdaq: MSTR, STRK, STRF) recently acquired 4,020 BTC for $427.1 million at an average price of $106,237 per coin by the end of the week on May 25th.

This purchase increases Strategy's Bitcoin holdings to 580,250 BTC, which were purchased for a total of $40.61 billion, or $69,979 per bitcoin. This solidifies their position as the largest corporate owner of Bitcoin, with their stash accounting for approximately 2.9% of the circulating supply and giving them significant influence over market sentiment.

Michael Saylor, the executive chairman, also revealed that the company's proprietary metric for BTC yield has climbed to 16.8% year-to-date, surpassing their annual target.

The funding for this recent acquisition was sourced through ongoing sales of its Class A common stock and the issuance of 8% "STRK" and 10% "STRF" perpetual preferred shares.

Given the current high BTC prices, the market is keen to see if Strategy will increase their issuance to reach their ambitious 2025 yield goal and how this could impact both the Bitcoin market and Strategy's stocks - $MSTR, $STRK, and $STRF.
