In the legal battle between the company Attract and the TV show 'I Want to Know That', Attract's former CEO Jeon Hong-jun sued the program for defamation claiming they misrepresented facts, seeking compensation of around 300 million won, but the court ruled in favor of Attract stating that the program did not present false information.

The TV show had shed light on the dispute around the girl group Fifty Fifty in August 2023, referring to them as the "miracle of the small idol industry". Despite not being under a major agency, they achieved huge success in the US shortly after debut. However, conflicts arose with their agency over the exclusive contract.

Attract emphasized that they were responsible for the controversy, citing unclear financial dealings and mental distress suffered by members under the strict control of the agency. Attract refuted the accusations as false, claiming the show had damaged their reputation by presenting false information without verifying the facts.

Recent court rulings revealed that the show did not present false information and confirmed that Attract's financial statements had inconsistencies that were acknowledged by the company. The court also dismissed the accusations of unfair financial practices against Attract, as they were based on objective analysis by financial experts and accounting data.

Additionally, claims of the CEO disposing of parents' food were deemed as true by the court, considering testimonies from members' families and the CEO's behavior, despite Attract's denial. The court declared that other details presented on the show were not false, highlighting Attract's refusal to participate in over 10 interview requests as a factor contributing to their decision.

The court decision is not final yet, as Attract has the option to appeal within a certain timeframe. The show had previously received a warning from the Korea Communications Standards Commission for potentially biased reporting in the episode involving Fifty Fifty. Amidst the legal disputes, one member returned to Attract while the other three terminated their contracts, leading Attract to recruit four new members and reorganize as a 5-member group.
