Police have revealed that Song Min Ho from the K-pop group WINNER has been referred to the prosecution for alleged negligence during his mandatory public service responsibilities. The accusations arose in December last year, over a year into his service, claiming that he frequently skipped work and took excessive sick leave. Despite YG Entertainment's explanation that his absences were due to medical treatments before enlisting, Song Min Ho reportedly acknowledged the negligence during police questioning in February. The case is now headed to prosecution for further investigation and legal proceedings. As per South Korea's Military Service Act, failure to fulfill duties without a valid excuse may result in an extended service period or even imprisonment, depending on the severity of the offense.
