CJ CheilJedang's global brand, Bibigo, recently revealed that it has chosen Seventeen as its inaugural brand ambassador and is set to roll out a worldwide campaign targeting international customers.
Bibigo, a prominent K-food brand, aims to connect with Generation Z consumers globally by teaming up with a renowned K-pop group. The upcoming campaign, themed "Taste What's Beyond," will encompass a range of promotional endeavors, including campaign videos, joint product releases, and pop-up events.
The intention behind these initiatives is to convey Bibigo's genuine K-food essence, highlight its innovation, and spotlight the broad appeal of Seventeen.
Seventeen, a well-acclaimed K-pop ensemble since their debut in 2015, was chosen as global brand ambassadors because their energetic and positive vibe aligns well with Bibigo's lively and passionate brand identity, according to CJ CheilJedang.
On May 20, Bibigo will unveil a campaign video on its official global social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and X (formerly Twitter).
The video will showcase Seventeen members enjoying various Bibigo products such as gimbap, hot dogs, and tteokbokki. It will also be accessible on the "Bibigo | Seventeen" campaign microsite launching on May 23.
Moreover, limited-edition Bibigo products with Seventeen's team colors on the packaging, such as gimbap snacks, cup tteokbokki, gochujang, and ssamjang, will be available for purchase on CJ CheilJedang's official mall, CJ The Market, and the Olive Young online mall on the same day.
Simultaneously, Bibigo will set up a booth at Seventeen's 10th debut anniversary event "B-DAY PARTY" at Sebitseom in Seoul from May 23 to 25, where 20,000 limited-edition collaborative products will be given away.
At the B-DAY PARTY, fans will have the opportunity to participate in a "Stamp Tour" event by collecting digital stamps at CJ THE KITCHEN and receiving a Seventeen photo card at the Sebitseom venue.
Bibigo intends to extend this collaboration to overseas customers as well. In the latter part of the year, a second round of "Bibigo | Seventeen" joint products will hit the international markets, alongside a series of online and offline events in countries like Japan and the United States.
A representative from CJ CheilJedang expressed optimism regarding the partnership with Seventeen, anticipating deeper engagement with global consumers. Through a diverse array of campaign activities, they aim to further promote Bibigo and K-food on a worldwide scale.
