Quincy Jones' luxurious Bel Air mansion, which served as his home until his passing in 2024, is currently on the market for close to $60 million.
The expansive Bel Air property, where Quincy Jones resided, entertained notable figures, and created cherished memories with his family, is now up for sale at $59,995,000 after his death in November 2024.
Spread across nearly 25,000 square feet, the residence, located at the end of a private cul-de-sac, was custom-designed by Jones and his longtime friend, architect Jerry Allison.
Jones, who succumbed to pancreatic cancer at the age of 91, lived in the house for many years, welcoming celebrities and dignitaries. Quincy's daughter, Rashida Jones, highlighted the deep family connections to the estate.
“My father adored his home. He envisioned it from scratch by combining his limitless creativity with the expertise of his high school pal, renowned architect Jerry Allison. Our family has a treasury of unforgettable moments and significance attached to this residence. We hope the new owner will continue the legacy of warmth, joy, and elegance associated with Quincy Jones.”
Taking inspiration from the opulent South African resort The Palace of the Lost City, the house seamlessly blends opulence with personal significance, providing stunning views of Los Angeles, the San Gabriel Mountains, and the Pacific Ocean.
The property features five bedrooms, an elegant infinity pool, a tennis court, an indoor garden, a wine bar, a game room, a gym, and a private theater. The primary suite boasts a grand bathroom, multiple walk-in closets, a study, a workout area, and a balcony.
Completing the layout are three guest suites, one of which includes a junior primary suite with its own living space, terrace, walk-in closet, and dual bathrooms.
The listing for the property is managed by David Kramer and Andrew Buss from Compass.
Jones peacefully passed away in his sleep on November 3, 2024, at the Bel Air residence that he played a role in designing.
