André 3000 is set to receive an honorary Doctor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music in recognition of his significant influence on music and culture for many years. He gained fame as one-half of the innovative Hip-Hop duo OutKast, which reshaped Southern rap and garnered six Grammy Awards. Berklee's commencement weekend will kick off with a tribute concert where over 200 student performers will pay musical homage to the honorees. This event celebrates renowned artists like André 3000 who have left a lasting impact on the music industry and beyond. Past recipients of honorary degrees from Berklee include music legends such as Aretha Franklin, Quincy Jones, Missy Elliott, Willie Nelson, and John Legend.
