Chenle from NCT will be launching a special Chinese album in collaboration with Tencent Music Entertainment, as announced by SM Entertainment on May 4 (KST). The album called Lucid will be released on May 5 at 12:22 p.m. KST on various Chinese music platforms like QQ Music, Kugou Music, Kuwo Music, and Bodiem Music. It will also be made available as a physical album in China.

Lucid consists of three songs in Chinese. The title track, Lucid, conveys a message about overcoming loneliness and experiencing a bright moment. It combines passionate strings with Chenle's emotive high notes, offering a touching listening experience.

One of the tracks, Tear Bridge, is a cover of the original soundtrack from the 2003 drama Someday or One Day. The song's mix of strings, piano, and a melancholic guitar tune enhances its emotional complexity. Chenle's sensitive interpretation brings a new twist and lasting impact to this first remake in 22 years.

The third song, Cosmic Joke (featuring Zhu Bichang), delves into the realization of letting go of a dream. It portrays an internal struggle between idealism and the harshness of reality. Notably, after meeting on a Chinese TV show years ago, Chenle and Zhu Bichang reunite on this track.

Furthermore, the music video for Lucid is set to debut on May 5 at 12:22 p.m. KST on the official YouTube channels of NCT and NCT Dream.
