Lee Da Eun, the wife of the late former soccer player Kang Ji Yong and one of the participants in JTBC’s reality show ‘Divorce Camp,’ recently shared a private text conversation she had with her mother-in-law.

Taking to her social media on May 2, Lee Da Eun posted screenshots of messages exchanged between her and Kang Ji Yong’s mother, referred to as Mrs. A. In the messages, Mrs. A expressed concerns regarding Kang Ji Yong's financial matters before he met Lee Da Eun, mentioning undisclosed loans and money issues. Lee Da Eun refuted Mrs. A's claims, stating that if Kang Ji Yong had indeed shared such information, she would hold resentment towards him, but she would not tolerate any falsehoods being spread about her.

The conversation escalated with Lee Da Eun asserting that Kang Ji Yong had sent more money to his mother than to her, and she challenged Mrs. A to prove the truth of her claims. Following this exchange, Mrs. A did not respond further.

In response to these revelations, Lee Da Eun captioned the post urging those spreading rumors to stop, and she questioned the lack of evidence supporting Mrs. A’s statements.

Kang Ji Yong, who tragically passed away on April 22 at the age of 37, had disclosed on ‘Divorce Camp’ the financial challenges he faced despite his successful soccer career. Lee Da Eun also expressed her disappointment at the shifting narrative and distortion of truth surrounding the situation after his death, vowing to reveal evidence to set the record straight and considering legal action if needed.

Kang Ji Yong, who began his professional football journey in 2009 and played for various teams before his retirement in 2022, was well-known for being the cousin of Kwon Eun Bi.
