BTS member Jin is displaying his characteristic warmth and affection for fans following the disappointment of many who were unable to secure tickets for his initial solo fan concert.
On April 29th KST, Jin engaged with fans on Weverse, responding to posts about the ticketing process. This day marked the general ticket sale for the Korean segment of his fan concert tour. Despite a high reservation rate of 99%, the queue reached 84,260 individual users with no duplicates. Jin's first solo fan concert, known as '#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR,' is scheduled to begin on June 28th–29th at Goyang Sports Complex Auxiliary Stadium in Goyang, Korea, before proceeding to various cities worldwide.
In light of a fan sharing a screenshot of the large online queue, Jin modestly commented, "Wow, I didn’t realize Seokjinie was this popular." His humble nature and sincerity stood out despite his global stardom.
Responding to a fan's remark wishing for a larger venue, Jin explained that the concert was planned impulsively, hence the limited options for venues. He acknowledged his lack of foresight in the planning process and expressed his deep affection for fans by addressing the strong demand that led to the event.
When a fan expressed disappointment over the lack of available seats, Jin revealed that the chosen venue was the largest among the available options.
In response to a fan suggesting an encore concert in the future, Jin initially misunderstood the term "en-concert" but later engaged in friendly banter with fans about it. Despite fans' pleas for an additional show due to high demand, Jin regretfully informed that there would be no encore performance.
Jin's concert tickets dominated the Interpark Ticket charts, underscoring his immense popularity among fans.
Furthermore, Jin recently topped the list of buzzworthy non-drama performers following his appearance on the Netflix variety show 'Kian's Bizarre B&B.' His global recognition further grew after his special guest appearances at Coldplay's 'Music of the Spheres' world tour. Jin is set to release his second mini-album, Echo, on May 16th at 1 PM KST, and his solo fan concert world tour will commence on June 28th.
The tour will encompass 18 shows across nine cities, including Chiba and Osaka (Japan), Anaheim, Dallas, Tampa, and Newark (USA), London (UK), and Amsterdam (Netherlands). Notably, Jin will make history as the first K-pop solo artist to headline a concert at London's O2 Arena.
