South Korean singer Yoo Seung Joon, still barred from returning to South Korea due to controversy over avoiding military service, has been reportedly performing in the United States. According to a Korean-American resident's post, Yoo Seung Joon is introducing himself as a Korean superstar during his shows in the Los Angeles area, singing his popular songs like 'Passion,' 'Gaui,' and 'Me Me Me.' When not on stage, he spends time at the gym with his children, engaging in activities like surfing and skateboarding.

The post also criticized Yoo Seung Joon's persistent efforts to come back to South Korea, pointing out his silence during controversies in his home country and resurfacing only after the issues have settled. The user expressed regret over being a former fan, mentioning having purchased all his albums from the first to the fourth during their school days. Despite the disappointment, the user mentioned maintaining a respectful tone due to their previous fandom. They commented on Yoo Seung Joon's outdated behavior, suggesting that his attempts to appear youthful with a backwards snapback and Bart Simpson T-shirt are ineffective. The user doubted his ability to make a significant impact if he were to return to South Korea, expressing hope that he will continue his performances in Los Angeles.

Yoo Seung Joon rose to fame in 1997 with the album 'West Side' but faced backlash in 2002 for leaving South Korea to tour and subsequently acquiring U.S. citizenship, which was perceived as evading military duties. The Ministry of Justice imposed an entry ban following this incident. Despite legal battles and Supreme Court rulings, his attempts to secure a visa have been repeatedly rejected. Presently, he remains embroiled in legal proceedings to challenge the denied visa application.
