A post appeared on an online community on April 28th KST, supposedly written by Gaeun, where she shared a handwritten note detailing the challenges she faced during her time in the group. Gaeun, who transitioned from LIMELIGHT to MADEIN last year, faced accusations of being sexually harassed by the CEO of her former agency, 143 Entertainment.

In November of last year, a report by JTBC’s ‘Incident Chief’ suggested that the agency's CEO, known as Mr. B, had sexually harassed a female idol, referred to as Member A. The report included a recording where A requested to complete a promotion without interference, to which the CEO allegedly replied with a proposition. Although not confirmed, many believed A was Gaeun.

143 Entertainment refuted the allegations after the report aired, denying any sexual misconduct. Shortly after the incident, amid health concerns, Gaeun left MADEIN, stating difficulties in continuing group activities due to personal reasons.

Expressing her gratitude, Gaeun thanked her supporters and acknowledged the challenges she faced while striving to maintain her dream of being an idol. She also mentioned learning about her departure from the group through news articles post the broadcast. Gaeun concluded by affirming her commitment to addressing her feelings and experiences openly as she moves forward.

On April 28th, the Hanbit Media Labor Rights Center (Hanbit Center) disclosed plans to hold a press conference on April 29th with Gaeun’s mother to lodge a formal complaint against the 143 Entertainment CEO for alleged sexual misconduct.
