Shedeur Sanders maintained his composure following a prank call during the NFL Draft, which resulted in an apology from Jax Ulbrich and an investigation by the NFL.

During the 2025 NFL Draft, Shedeur Sanders was pranked by Jax Ulbrich, who pretended to be New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis. Ulbrich later confessed to the prank, leading to a public apology on Instagram for his actions that disrupted Sanders' draft moment.

Sanders, captured in a confusing moment on Deion Sanders Jr.'s YouTube channel, handled the situation calmly despite the unexpected call. The NFL has launched an inquiry into how Sanders' private phone number, provided by Boost Mobile for the draft, was leaked and used in the prank.

Despite the incident, Sanders downplayed its impact and remained positive, stating that he does not engage with negativity. He eventually was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round, providing him with a new opportunity to begin his professional football career.
