/Article

Ari Lennox has officially left Dreamville Records, where she had spent nearly a decade, due to public dissatisfaction with the label. She will now be releasing her music exclusively through Interscope.

At J. Cole's final Dreamville Festival in April, Lennox bid farewell to her time with Dreamville, acknowledging the label for helping kickstart her career and expressing gratitude for making her dreams come true.

After voicing her frustrations on Instagram in October 2024 towards both Dreamville and Interscope for not meeting her expectations, Lennox went on to post a video demanding her release from the label, citing a lack of support and feeling manipulated.

Despite the public outcry, sources close to the situation mentioned that the split between Lennox and Dreamville was amicable, with no animosity between the two parties. Ari Lennox joined Dreamville in 2015 and gained recognition with her debut album "Shea Butter Baby" in 2019.

Her latest single, "Soft Girl Era," was released under Interscope, leading to some misunderstanding online as some initially attributed the track's direction to Dreamville before realizing it was an Interscope release.
