Actors Park Bo Gum, Byeon Woo Seok, and Choo Young Woo are in the running for the Popularity Award at the prestigious Baeksang Arts Awards. The voting period for the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards Prism Popularity Award began on April 23 at 12 PM and will run until 4 PM on May 2.

From a pool of 70 nominees, with 35 male and 35 female, the winners will be determined based on the highest number of votes received in each category, consisting of individuals nominated in the TV and film categories.

Notable male nominees for the award include Park Bo Gum from 'When Life Gives You Tangerines,' Byun Woo Seok from 'Lovely Runner,' Choo Young Woo from 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call,' Lee Jun Hyuk from 'Dongjae, the Good or the Bastard,' and broadcaster Dex.

Female nominees in contention are Song Hye Kyo from 'Dark Nuns,' Kim Go Eun from 'Love in the Big City,' IU from 'When Life Gives You Tangerines,' Kim Hye Yoon from 'Lovely Runner,' and Kim Tae Ri from 'Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born.'

The voting process for the Popularity Award occurs on the global retail media platform Prism app, allowing each user to cast up to four free votes daily with a reset at midnight.

In the previous edition, Kim Soo Hyun and IVE's Ahn Yu Jin clinched the Popularity Awards in a record-breaking year that saw over 11 million votes, marking the highest turnout in the past three years.

The 61st Baeksang Arts Awards ceremony is scheduled for May 5, 8:00 PM at COEX Hall D in Seoul and will be broadcasted live on multiple JTBC channels, including JTBC, JTBC2, and JTBC4.
