Shannon Sharpe has been accused by Tony Buzbee of targeting Black men in his reaction to the leaked phone call audio.

Shannon Sharpe, a former NFL player and media personality, is facing serious accusations following the emergence of a leaked phone call where he allegedly made emotionally aggressive comments towards a woman accusing him of sexual assault.

The audio, released by TMZ on April 22, purportedly captures a heated conversation between Sharpe and the woman who is suing him for $50 million over rape and sexual assault allegations in Nevada. In the call, Sharpe seems to struggle to control his emotions and reportedly made violent threats towards the woman.

During the call, Sharpe is heard saying, "You want to be a dick to me now," to which the accuser responded, "I don't want to be, don’t manipulate me." The situation escalates as Sharpe threatens to physically harm her, stating, “I am going to choke the sh*t out of you when I see you.”

In response to the backlash, Sharpe posted a video on Instagram addressing the accusations and identifying the woman as Gabby on social media. He claimed the encounter in question was consensual and happened during the day at her invitation. Sharpe alleged that Tony Buzbee, a prominent attorney, is orchestrating a targeted attack against him.

Before posting the video statement, Sharpe released a series of text messages to refute the allegations made by the woman. The texts included references to the woman requesting to be choked with a collar during intimate moments.

Sharpe insists that he will defend himself against the accusations, claiming the situation is a setup orchestrated by Tony Buzbee.
