NCT WISH has achieved the milestone of becoming a million-seller for the first time with their recent release.
Their second mini-album, poppop, was launched on April 14(KST) and managed to sell 1,087,839 copies within its first week, as reported by Hanteo Chart.
This achievement set a new personal record for NCT WISH in terms of first-week sales, surpassing their previous debut mini-album, Steady, which had initial sales of 790,000 copies—reflecting a significant increase of nearly 300,000 units.
Furthermore, NCT WISH has attained million-seller status for the first time since their debut in March 2024 with WISH, which sold 280,000 copies. The consistent growth in popularity is evident with their latest release.
poppop has dominated various album charts, securing the top spot on weekly lists such as Hanteo Chart, Hottracks, Yes24, Aladin, and Circle Chart Retail Albums.
The buzz around poppop was evident with pre-orders exceeding 1.21 million copies. The title track made a strong impact by reaching No. 2 on Melon's "Hot 100" and Korea's YouTube Trending Music chart within 30 days of its release.
The song's popularity extended across Asia, claiming the top position on Japan's AWA real-time rising chart and YouTube trending videos, and ranking third on China's QQ Music rising chart.
In other news, NCT WISH is scheduled to make an appearance on KBS Cool FM's Lee Eun Ji's Gayo Plaza on April 21(KST).
